Welcome!

Hello, friend, and welcome! I am so glad you’re here!

One day after teaching a Women’s Bible Study, a woman approached me and said, “This might sound weird, but can we be friends?” I actually didn’t think it was weird at all; I had wanted to be her friend as well! Soon thereafter we met for coffee and shared our stories: our testimonies of coming to know the Lord, what He has done in our lives since, and details about our families. We have been friends ever since!

If we were in the same room right now, that would be my question to you: “Can we be friends?”

You see, I would love to hear your story.

Whether you’re rocking a baby to sleep, waiting for your child to finish a soccer practice, on a lunch break at work, or running between classes, thank you for welcoming me into your day.

What I hope you find here:

My greatest prayer is that whatever this very moment consists of for you, when you are here, you will find encouragement not only for your everyday life, but for this very moment.

Through blog posts, podcast episodes, devotionals, and Bible studies, the aim is always the same: to help you know Him as your one thing desired. As we behold His beauty and shift our perspective from our thoughts to His truth, we find that He is the One we have been desiring all along and who we continue to desire.

A little about me:

More than twenty-five years ago, I placed my trust in the Lord for my salvation.  I knew my eternal destination was secure because of my faith in Christ but had no idea of how the Lord would work in my life on this side of eternity, namely through the healing of a years-long battle with an eating disorder.

As the Word of God began to have its transformative effect in my life, for the first time I experienced real and lasting change.  I wanted nothing more than to share this message of hope and healing with others.  While still completing my college degree, I was trained for full-time college ministry and upon graduation, served on my college campus as a college missionary, focusing on evangelism and discipleship.  I traveled to two continents for short-term missions trips as well as served with multiple inner-city mission teams to New York City.

Since then, I have served (and continue to serve) in various ministries with my local church including counseling, a young moms groups, and the women’s ministry.

My husband and I have been married for more than 20 years and together we have four amazing children.

I would love to get to know you:

It would be an honor to connect on Instagram or email and through the podcast, Perspective Shifts.

I hope to bring a kind and gentle voice to your day, dear friend, to help you know Him as your one thing desired

I am so glad you’re here!
